    Qualifications for Members

    1. Any person, 21-years of age or older, is eligible to become a member of the Lancaster County Speakers Bureau.
    2. To be approved as a Bureau speech, a talk must . . .
        A. be a topic which will have general audience appeal,
        B. be approximately 30 minutes in length,
        C. be free from self-promotion and/or advertisement of a business venture of any type,
        D. not be for the purpose of soliciting funds or support for any individual, group, or organization (an exception may be made for "not-for-profit" entities).
    3. Each speaker shall deliver his/her proposed speech before a scheduled audition session. Such speech must be approved by the Bureau members in attendence.
    4. Exceptions to the above qualifications must have the unanimous approval of the six members of the Executive Committee of the Bureau.
    5. In an effort to keep Bureau offerings current and of interest to prospective audiences, any member who has not delivered at least one Bureau speech to a legitmate audience over a period of three consecutive years shall not be listed in the next publication of approved speeches unless a new talk has been approved by the Executive Board.
